A Little Bit About Me

Jazak Allah Khyran for taking the time to read my profile.


So a little bit about myself...

I am a practicing Muslimah who is striving to develope my emaan and ighsaan. Alhamdulillah I have been given the opportunity to study my Deen and am currently a first year student in Islamic Studies at IOU. I am enjoying my studies very much even the hair pulling moments Alhamdulillah (but only in hindsight 😂). It has been an eye opener, a reality check and an exciting goal setting experience thus far. I generally enjoy research and learning new things so I am very lucky to have two things I love combined.  


I think I would describe myself as kind, loving, affectionate and sensitive. Sensitive not only in an emotional sense but also with regards to my environment and people. I enjoy peaceful surroundings and a placid positive environment and I've come to realize that creating an environment structured around the basic human principles of Islam gives me the exact thing I'm looking for. That's not to say that I don't enjoy the occasional crazy fun times filled with laughter and excitement. Okay maybe more than just occasional 😁 Alhamdulillah what is life without laughter 🌺


When at home I love to bake, anything and everything but lemon meringue and cupcakes will always be my first love. I enjoy anything diy  and craft related (think art period at primary school), sewing, gardening, boardgames (all except Monopoly I suck big time but definitely scrabble, pictionary and 30 seconds 🥰) and just generally trying new things. When outside I love digging my feet into beach sand and going for hikes is probably my favourite thing to do So if you happen to send me on a  coastal hike it would probably end up in a missing person report because there is no way you getting me home again 🤣 these rocks have chosen me as their home 🤣


Other than this I would like to find someone who is strong and caring and compassionate and empathetic. Someone whose love language is compatible with mine and who has a soft approach when dealing with conflict. Not to be mistaken for someone who is a push over. I appreciate masculinity and would require that in my spouse as he will be the leader of the household as well as my source of protection and comfort. I am not looking to compete with my husband in his role of qawaam I am looking for a husband who will create an environment for me where I am able to fully embody my feminity and where I can refine it and grow it to its fullest potential In Sha Allah. 


I guess that is probably the jist of it but knowing me I would probably fiddle and fuss with it some more with it later. 🤭

What I Am Looking For
I would like someone with a similar outlook as me. Someone who would recite and teach me Quraan and Arabic or someone who will study it with me.

In my husband I would love someone who strives sincerely to follow the Quraan and Sunnah with zeal and love. A man that will love me for the sake of pleasing Allah. I would want a husband that will lead the way, to walk infront of me as my protection and my imam in life and salaah and someone who is responsible and able and willing to take care of a wife and children. Not someone stuck in materialism and not some stingy. Balance is key. And someone who is thirsty for knowledge who I can study and learn with. Personal preference I am attracted to men with beards, I prefer men who look like men. But still neat and tidy.
